Enterprise software providing centralized access to technology planning and spending
Fidelity’s internal platform brings strategic planning, portfolio management, and technology spending into a connected experience. I focused on translating complex business processes into clear, scalable workflows while working within the requirements of a highly regulated financial environment

Challenge
Existing vendor software supported a broad range of capabilities, but many features were underutilized, and the experience did not always align with Fidelity’s business processes.
The opportunity was to build an internal platform around the organization’s actual planning workflows rather than requiring users to adapt to a vendor-defined model. Our team partnered with business analysts, product managers, engineers, and internal and external consultants to understand existing processes, identify opportunities, and prioritize the capabilities that would provide the most value.
The timeline added another layer of complexity: the new platform needed to progress from concept to development and user onboarding before the existing vendor contract expired. We established a prioritized roadmap that enabled the team to focus on the highest-value workflows first while laying the foundation for future capabilities.

A connected experience for strategic planning
The platform brings strategic planning, portfolio management, and technology spending into a connected experience.
I focused on reducing cognitive load by organizing complex information around the way managers plan and make decisions. Rather than reproducing the vendor's product structure, we designed workflows around Fidelity’s business processes, with an experience that could evolve as organizational priorities changed.
The result is a scalable foundation for managing strategic planning and investment decisions within a single internal platform.
